At Lean Processes, we really believe in continuous improvement.  Trying to achieve perfection causes many improvement efforts to stall or continually be delayed.  It is important to recognize that the goal of any process improvement event is to make it better than it was before and to deploy or implement the changes as soon as possible so you can begin reaping those benefits.  You will of course identify new challenges and opportunities after the event and should revisit the same event again, but with the purpose of furthering the improvement, not repeating the event to simply recover the improvements that have eroded over time.
